Kenya Premier league side AFC Leopards were held to a one-all draw by visitors Fosa Juniors from Madagascar in the CAF Confederations Cup preliminary round, match played at the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega.
Mainge Yusuf put Ingwe in the lead in the 4th minute but the visitors leveled 11 minutes later through skipper Rado Mbalosoa.
Ingwe must now avoid a defeat in the second leg encounter in two weeks time so as to boost their chances of qualifying for the first round of the continental event.
Leopards qualified for the Confederation Cup after winning GOtv Shield title.
Leopard last participated in the continental football in 2014 but they were eliminated in the first round after losing 4-2 on goals aggregate to South Africa’s Supersport United.
